Private Lessons
Students learn the Technique in private lessons. The student, while guided
through a series of simple movements such as sitting, standing, walking and lying down,
learns to observe and change habits that interfere with optimal functioning.
This builds a foundation for tackling more complex problems. Activities suited
to the student's area of interest, for example playing a musical instrument or
working at a desk, may be included. Lessons move at the student's pace and
level of comfort.
Introductory Workshops
Workshops provide a fun and informative introduction to the Alexander Technique
and can be tailored to each group's area of interest. Workshops include a talk
on the principles of the AT, activities to illustrate these principles, and a forum for questions and answers.
Workshops are introductory and are not meant as a substitute for private
lessons.
